Fuller Law Group – Free Technology Assessment

Parity Networks has experience designing technology solutions for many different types of businesses. Fuller Law Group, located in San Diego, California contacted us because their outdated servers were failing, software was out of date and the network wasn’t performing up to expectations. Parity performed a Free Onsite Technology Assessment and provided solutions that would improve their business process and bring them current with technology standards.

After diagnosing all issues, we looked at Internet Speeds. The current connection was an AT&T 3MB x 500KB circuit (very slow). Parity Network was able to upgrade the data connection to 50MB x 10MB for a fraction of the price Fuller Law Group is currently paying for an outdated technology. We then looked at the phone system. Fuller Law Group was using an outdated NEC Analog System running on a PRI circuit. We replaced this with NextLevel VoIP phones that run off the new data circuit, saving them approx. $250 per month. All while upgrading their network routers and switches to enterprise-grade equipment free of charge.

Next, we found that server hardware associated with the Domain Controller /Storage Server was failing. Parity Networks provided several quotes for new server hardware and ended up installing a Dell PowerEdge T330. Once the server was provisioned, we migrated all Active Directory information and replicated the infrastructure to the new domain controller. Upgraded all business-related software, such as Timeslips, Amicus, A1 Law, and Legal Solutions applications. To wrap up the configuration, we created a new File Structure for all documents, set permissions and mapped drives for all client machines.

We noticed that Fuller Law Group was using GoDaddy Hosted Email Platform for all email correspondence. This is an old technology that uses IMAP to communicate to the hosted server. Parity Networks provided information associated with the Office 365 Business platform. We were able to provision this service at a fraction of the cost and migrate all existing email to the new mailboxes. Office 365 provides a long list of additional features that benefit small and large businesses alike: 50GB mailboxes on Exchange Server, Skype for Business HD Video Conferencing, One Drive, Conference Bridges, Office Desktop Applications, Shared Calendars, etc. Fuller Law was able to lower monthly costs associated with their email platform and gain several new features that will help streamline their business process.

Finally, we purchased a SonicWall TZ300 Security Appliance. This device protects the network against malicious threats and provides remote access to internal resources. Attorneys now have the option to connect to the network over an SSL VPN Client to access their desktops in the office. This feature provides the same functionality as physically being at the office, while offsite.

I hope this article gives you a bit of insight into how Parity Networks can help businesses, of all types, develop their business process and improve productivity for their employees. Contact us for a Free Network Assessment, so we can help your business save money and increase productivity.
